But I found no solution using the above that makes all the lines work well. I could tweak the number 0.33 so that some lines line up perfectly on the left.
From footnotes 100 above, the first line sits too far to the right. For footnotes 10-99, the first line sits in roughly but not always the right place. However, for footnotes number 1-9 the first line sits too far to the left. Then I went to the Inspector Pane and set the Left Paragraph indent to 0.33cm. all the way to the left of the box (in which the footnote sits) and all the way to the right of the box. I pressed the fully justify button, which made all the footnote text (including the footnote number) fully justify. The closest I have got (but no cigar) is by trying the following:
I would like to achieve footnotes where the text is fully justified, with the footnote number excluded from this, so that the footnote number sits to the left of the fully justified text.
